Morro Bay is one of the few remaining commercial fishing harbors in California. By taking a walk along the waterfront, you can see fisherman at work. From the first light of dawn, they are preparing their boats for the day at sea. Long after sunset, they are still hard at work, unloading their catch and repairing their nets. And, if you can't resist the romance of the sea, you can sign up at any one of the local charter boat docks to hop aboard and deep-sea fish...Not interested in fishing? Don't worry, take a cruise on one of the whale-watching boats.

If you're a landlubber, you're in luck. Morro Bay is part of the scenic coast. We've got trails to hike and beaches to comb.

If you're a golfer, bring your clubs. Morro Bay Golf Course is one of the most scenic courses in the country. It's nestled among the pines overlooking the back bay and our heron rookery.
