P.O. Box 933, 2700 Eton Road Cambria, CA 93428 805-927-5148 Cambria Co-op Preschool, established in 1958, is a non-profit, fully insured corporation, licensed by the state of California and is headed by a 7 member Board of Directors with input from all Co-op members. The school is staffed by a Director/Teacher and 6 member teaching staff. Enrollment is open to all children ages 3-7 regardless of race, religion, or national origin. Operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.; five days per week, with enrollment limited to 13 children per hour per day. The Co-op follows the Cambria School District 's school calendar and is closed on all school holidays. A co-operative preschool and day-care program provide many opportunities not available in other program settings. Many activities pertaining to the successful functioning of the school are in the hands of the parents. These job responsibilities are opted for by all members and together with a well-educated and experienced staff to provide the best possible learning and growing environment for our Co-op children. Moreover, as a welcome visitor at any time, you are able to observe and contribute to the program. You, as a participating member, share in the decision making process and our co-op thrives on our members' ideas and suggestions. It works because of the cooperation shown by members who help each other in many ways relating to both school business and family support. Lasting friendships are often made at the co-op.
