Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. Charleston County schools are making progress in addressing education issues related to the pandemic. According to new data released by the South Carolina Department of Education, scores for Charleston County schools show significant growth from the 2020-2021 school year. However, students struggle to make progress in math. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. The Charleston Police Department arrested Evan Suk Ensley Haddix, 37, in connection with a bank robbery on Folly Road. He was held in Al Cannon Detention Center and appeared in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the department. (ABC NEWS 4)
  3. Sea Life by Starlight is set to return on Saturday, December 10. The Charleston Chamber will transform the Aquarium into a night of colorful imagination.
