To celebrate the school holidays, Sea Life Bangkok has launched the Lost City campaign, which will transport young explorers to the lost underworld of Atlantis through the thrilling performance Mermaid Dive.
Located on floors B1-B2 of Siam Paragon, the aquarium has been redesigned to create an atmosphere of the ancient city immersed in the ocean and uses multimedia technology to provide new experiences that families can imagine together.
According to legend, the kingdom of Atlantis was once a powerful and technologically advanced empire, but Zeus punished the earth for its moral degradation. The entire city was swallowed up by the sea and disappeared due to the intensity of fires and earthquakes. The Seahorse Kingdom was formed following the destruction of Atlantis before evolving into the Xebel Kingdom, whose inhabitants rode seahorses.
Visitors will be greeted by five different species of seahorses, and each tank is adorned with artifacts from the Old Town. The 7m deep coral tank amphitheater transforms the arena into a scenic spot. It offers fresh ornamental accents, like shimmering sea anemones in vibrant colors that add a whimsical touch. Kids can play nearby in the Clay Works activity area while making their own clay sea animal bookmarks.
A sculpted figure of the sea god Poseidon, who is said to have given birth to the inhabitants of Atlantis, and young mermaids from the aquatic realm surrounding an ancient doorway give visitors the impression of entering the heart of an ancient city. Visitors can pretend to be a noble member of this kingdom while sitting on the ancient throne surrounded by bright coral. Until the end of the year, the mermaid dive the show airs four times a day on weekends and holidays – 11:45 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Visitors can take advantage of the “Buy 1 Get 2” promotion with a bulk package that includes admission to Sea Life Bangkok and Madame Tussauds Bangkok. Tickets start from 500 baht for children and 600 baht for adults.
