CELEBRATION, Florida. – Disney Cruise Line is taking fun in the sun to the next level on the Disney Wish with the launch of AquaMouse, an all-new family-friendly water attraction that will bring the adventures of the animated short “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” to life as never before. Plus, three themed neighborhoods offer fun water games, fast-casual dining options, and dedicated space for families, kids, and adults to relax and soak up the sun.

Families are immersed in the world of Mickey Mouse animated shorts on board AquaMouseDisney’s first attraction at sea. Complete with show scenes, lighting and special effects, and splashy surprises, this one-of-a-kind water ride sends guests on a fun-filled family adventure through 760 feet of winding suspended tubes above the upper decks.

As the story unfolds, Mickey and Minnie start their own shore excursion business — aptly named “Port Misadventures” — aboard the Disney Wish, and adventurous cruisers can join them on a submarine excursion. to Mermaid Lagoon which inevitably (and hilariously) goes awry.

The journey begins when guests board their two-seater vehicles and ride through a magical tunnel teleporting them into the cartoon world of two new animated shorts set through oversized virtual portholes.

  • In “Swiss Meltdown,” Mickey and Minnie take guests on a mountain sleigh ride inspired by one of the Emmy Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” shorts, “Yodelberg.” When the sun rises and the snow begins to melt, they’ll race to the top of the mountain while trying to avoid obstacles like avalanches, leaky rock faces and waterfalls.

At the height of the show, guests emerge from the tunnel and embark on a wild water ride around the upper decks. First they slide down the front funnel through an enclosed tube surrounded by dazzling lighting effects, followed by a dash through a dark tunnel leading to a stunning reveal of stunning ocean views .

They then unleash a series of speed blasters as they are propelled towards the grand finale – hovering above the edge of the ship, with a clear view of the deep blue sea. With that, they swoop in for a message sending Mickey and Minnie — another successful run through the books!

Fun in the sun for the whole family

In addition to AquaMouse, families have more pools, more patio space and more restaurants than ever before in a sprawling Mickey and Friends themed pool area.

Located on Decks 11 and 12 amidships, this area features six swimming pools of varying sizes and depths, spaciously spread across multi-tiered decks and surrounded by loungers to provide families with space to stretch out and soak up the sun. . Inspired by the Disney and Pixar ‘Partysaurus Rex’ short film, this tub-themed splash zone combines the Wild West of Woody’s Roundup with the intergalactic world of Buzz Lightyear, featuring two toddler slides and pop jets, geysers and bubblers galore.
